"People are like roses. Each petal symbolize the important people in our lives. Without them we are nothing but a thorny stem."
Adjusting to this blogging thing. I have made it one of my homepages so I remember to do it. This way I will actually keep it up. That quote above I discovered on facebook, but nevertheless I thought it was sweet. It's true though.
Today's blog is mainly a re-cap of my day. No going into thoughts as such. Also its just an outline really, nothing to in depth like conversations or what not.
So today was an excursion to Adventure World. Great weather for it however that also meant more school groups, so the lines were a bit long, but could have been alot worse if we went in January (it's shocking). Year 8 was the best for lines- was a really overcast and kinda cold day so we all got sunburnt but we went on so much. Love the waterslides at Adventure World. Needs more though. So my day was mostly spent with WY, SG and KB. We went on the go-carts first which took quite awhile to queue up for, but once we were on it was great- took awhile for me to adjust since I'd never done the go-carts before since the lines are always so long however we did them. So after that first lap I just kept the peddle down as fast as it could go the whole time. AW and SS joined us for the carts. We then jumped into the pool in the lovely fluro school rashies and spent some time taking photos with my underwater camera. We then moved to the kiddy pool and played on the slides. Once we'd checked in for role call we scoffed our lunch and with some more friends (9= AW, ES, SS, AW, WY, SG, LB, KB and me) went on the new Terminator X game. It was a lazer tag game and the guns were good however it was rather small so everyone bunches together so it's quite hard to shoot people since you get shot right back by 5 others. We all headed to the White Water Rapids Slide afterwards and stopped just around the bend away from the lifeguards at the start so all 13 of (9 + KW, AB, JM, CO) us went down together at the same time which proved to be a bit of a squeeze in the narrow section (my tube was pushed from under me). Then off to the Super 6 racer slide with 13 (No KW however AP joined us). We went down twice hovever on the second time it was even numbers (12- no AB). I flew down both times and came high ranked both times, no one can understand how to increase the speed but the girls somehow managed it. After the final splash down the first lot had disappeared so the 6 of us (AP KB SG JM CO and me) raced to the Shotgun next to us for our final waterslide of the day. We then joined everyone at 2pm and got changed ready to come home. Was great since that was the last year we can go with the school which was good since it was cheaper and quieter. Well we do have river cruise next year, and ball the year after but we can go during term 4 since term finishes early for Year 11's and not so many school will be there in like week 7 or whatever.
So hopefully no sunburn- I did make sure to put on cream a few times but you never know. Everyone was in great moods today and my best mate (HG) was released from hospital and shes looking alot better, just tired. So she has some lindt chocolates now so she should be on the mend without a doubt. 3 days of school left.
Ciao
